Saturday Aug 08, 2020
Saturday Aug 08, 2020
One of the ways that we express our worship to God is through creativity. God created us in His Image - He created us to create. Join me as I talk to my sister, Katherina Stegerman, about this reality and how we all are creative (not just 'artsy people).' She also talks about a project that she's working on that we are all quite excited about!

I hope that you are blessed by a sermon that I preached a few weeks ago on Cultivating the Fruit of the Spirit. This sermon sought to look at how the Fruit offered by Paul in Galatians 5 are both exactly what the world needs in the midst of this Covid Crisis as well as by-product of our intimacy with Jesus though the Holy Spirit.
In the intro, I talk about the practice of a "Dashboard for Life." A practice that I have put into place on a monthly basis since the Covid crisis began.

Participation in Worship
Tuesday May 05, 2020
Tuesday May 05, 2020
Why is it important to participate in worship? How do I do that in my living room with my family? We are truly in a unique season as our churches are currently not gathering together on a weekly basis... but in the midst of this unique season I think it's important for us as followers of Christ to continue to actively participate in our church's worship services :)
I had the privilege of interviewing a long time friend of mine, Stephanie Fehr, Pastor of Worship and Discipleship at Greenfield Community Church, about these things!
We talked about:
- How Stephanie believes God is at work in this season
- The temptation of consumerism and how that impacts us as worshippers
- What it looks like for us to foster a posture of participation in worship while we are unable to gather together in person.

Really excited to share this interview with all of you as Chris and I took some time to discuss some of the realities of hearing God's voice. In the interview we discuss:
- Chris' thoughts about the COVID-19 Crisis.
- Some of the roadblocks we have to hearing His voice (improper view of God/ourselves/the scriptures, how do we know it's really Him speaking etc.)
- How we can begin to grow in hearing God's voice.
- How we are transformed as we learn to hear His voice and ask Him good questions.

Growing in a Life of Worship (An Interview with Caris Rinas)
Friday Apr 17, 2020
Friday Apr 17, 2020
One of the main expressions of our lives as followers of Jesus is worship! Worship is something that we were created for and is something that is a consistent theme of the entire Biblical narrative! I had the opportunity to interview Caris Rinas about some of the ways that we can grow as worshippers, even through this crisis, where we can't gather together for corporate 'worship.'
Some of the things we chat about:
- What Caris believes God is up to in the midst of this crisis.
- A basic definition of worship.
- We spend a ton of time looking at passages that have to do with worship throughout the Bible.
- We end with talking about how we can engage with worship as a spiritual discipline.
